Where can i find a opal locket?

i’ve been looking for a beautiful, antique/vintage locket everywhere, but most of them are pendants or too expensive, or even bought before i get a chance to buy it. i’m not rich or anything, i’m 15, but i want a real opal locket. no fakes.i’m a big fan of old jewelry, can anyone help me find one? thanks!
also, ten points to a answer with a locket, not pendant, and if it has some history behind it, i’d be extatic. thanks again!!!

Should I do something about this or not?

We bought my wedding band from the estate section of a local jewelry store. I have an affection for antique jewelry and since my engagement ring is an antique, I wanted a wedding band that went with it. I fell so much in love with the ring that I didn’t even notice until I got home that there is engraving inside the band. I can’t read all of it, but the date is 4-12-51. Honestly, I’m not really sure how I feel about it. I know they can remove the engraving and engrave our wedding date if I want, but I can’t decide if I want to leave it or have it removed. It is kind of neat to have history behind it, but its also a little creepy to know that the most likely reason the ring was in the estate section is because the person who owned it died. I love the ring, and I don’t want a new one. I’m just not sure what to do with this one.
First of all, yet again, I don’t want a different ring. From what I can read of the engraving, I don’t think it was originally used as a wedding band, I think it was a birthday or present or something. The only name I can read is "PaPa" and I can’t make out the other name. There isn’t room for anymore engraving, and when I said it creeps me out a little, its not just because the person is dead, its because seeing the names there kind of makes it a little more real that it belonged to someone else and I don’t know their story. I know that that’s where antiques come from, obviously. Seeing names and a date there just made it a little more personal. Its more sad, I guess, than creepy. That was a poor choice of words on my part. Thanks for all the advice. I hope this clears it up a bit.

Do you HAVE to wear some sort of jewelry on your wedding day?

I’m a very plain and simple gal….my engagement ring and a watch are all I wear and have worn in my life!! My mom gave me an antique pearl necklace, but to me, it doesn’t look like "me" when I put it on. It’s odd to see necklaces, earrings, bracelets, etc. on me….so….would it be TOO plain to not wear any jewelry on my wedding day?

Thanks!! :)

How can I tell if my old silver jewelry is real Sterling Silver, or just silver color or plate?

I have several antique pins and brooches. The obvious ones are marked 925 but there are many that are not marked. None of them stick to magnets and all are heavy for their size. And, as far as I can see, none of the metal has been chipped away to expose a possible secondary metal underneath.

I do have one piece, however, that seems to be tarnished in a small area, but will not come off with my polishing cloth. It doesn’t stick to a magnet either. How can I tell if they are the real thing?

Also, will testing it damage the jewelry – especially if it’s not real silver? If they’re not silver, what metal could they possibly have used that won’t stick to a magnet?

value of a ring? Antique (approx. 1920's) platinum with 1.6 carat center diamond (almost 2 carat total)?

It valued for about 13k 10 yrs ago… do you think it would appraise for more or less now? (it was appraised at a jewelry store)
